The rooms at Chiramel Residency in Kochi are amazing! They have this nice wooden house vibe that really takes you back in time to the ancient Portuguese era. The teak wood floors add a touch of elegance and the rooms are so spacious and comfortable. I felt like a king in there!
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the cable TV in the double room. But hey, that's just me.

The staff at Chiramel Residency were extremely friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to rectify any issues and even made a thoughtful gesture to make up for a room that had a musty smell. The location of the hotel was perfect, with easy access to the city center and nearby facilities. Although our room was basic, it was comfortable and had good air conditioning. Despite a couple of minor drawbacks mentioned in the reviews, overall I had a pleasant stay at Chiramel Residency and would recommend it to others.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the air conditioning was quiet, making for a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel itself was beautifully furnished and well-maintained. The Indian breakfast option was highly recommended and we were not disappointed; the quality of food and presentation were excellent. The staff, especially the lady owner, were pleasant and helpful. The communal lounge added an elegant and traditional touch to our stay. Additionally, the hotel's quiet location made it a great choice for exploring the city.
Nothing to not like.

I had an amazing stay at this lovely heritage homestay. The location was perfect, with easy access to the city center and nearby facilities. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, making sure I had everything I needed. The traditional breakfast served was delicious, giving me a taste of local cuisine. The rooms had a tranquil feel of another time, decorated in a beautiful heritage style. The common areas were well-furnished and maintained, creating a welcoming atmosphere. my experience exceeded my expectations, and I would highly recommend this place for a memorable stay.
That the room I stayed in didn't have a window, which would have been nice for some natural light and a view.

Neatly maintained homestay-like premises with well-restored Portuguese building and relaxing lounge room. Limited menu for breakfast, but quality and presentation were great. Gracious host and helpful staff, though limited English. Good quiet location for town, close to sites, restaurants, and activities. Highly recommended.

I was impressed by the lovely old building of Chiramel Residency which appeared to be in good condition. The communal areas were beautifully maintained and added to the charm of the hotel. the upstairs rooms were rumored to be much brighter, ensuring a more uplifting experience.
My stay in room 10 was underwhelming. The room itself was dark and lacked natural daylight, creating a gloomy atmosphere.

The rooms were comfy and relaxing complete with shower, a good size bathroom, for example. Its location was marvellous and incredible, at a walking distance from Fort Kochi Beach.

The room and bathroom were lovely, with beautiful wooden features and a relaxing ambiance. The old Portuguese building was well-restored, adding to the charm of our romantic escape. The location was perfect, situated in a quiet street yet close to all the key attractions and great restaurants.
The slightly uncomfortable mattress, which seemed to have a faint odor. However, this was easily solved by bringing our own under sheet.

Wonderful customer service with friendly staff, providing a lovely, relaxing lounge for guests. Basic but adequate room with good AC and a fan to keep mosquitoes away. Great location in the middle of busy Fort Cochin, perfect for backpackers.
Felt like family, no complaints.
